Utah is a national destination for people who love the outdoors. With multiple national parks, diverse landscapes, and four distinct seasons, it’s no wonder so many people travel here to enjoy our nature and scenery. Luckily, those of us who live in Utah get to experience everything the state has to offer whenever we want. One of the most popular outdoor activities that locals and tourists alike have come to love is bicycling. There’s so much to see and so many bike trails you can take; it’s one of the best ways to take in our beautiful state. But have you ever gone on a scenic Utah bike ride at night?
Well, now’s your chance! Davis County is hosting their 28th annual Antelope by Moonlight bike ride on July 15th and you and your whole family are invited. This annual bike ride is 24 miles long in Antelope Island State Park and will take you from the marina to historic Fielding Garr Ranch and back. This ride is non competitive, so everyone can go at their own pace and all ages are welcome to participate. Plus this is more than just a bike ride–it’s also a costume contest and a community party! Come enjoy vendors, music, and food trucks before the ride, and an after-ride drink hosted by Discover Davis. This year’s theme is Ride into the Moonlit Sky and everyone is encouraged to dress up and decorate their bikes. The prizes include state park passes, bikes, gift cards, Lagoon tickets, and more!
Registration closes July 14th, so don’t delay! Sign you and your family up today and see Utah like you never have before under the full summer moon, surrounded by old and new friends.
Remember, safety first! All participants are required to have a helmet, headlamp, and taillights. Find more information and register for the event at www.daviscountyutah.gov/moonlight
