Yoga (and goats) at The Gateway

Do you ever wish summer break was for adults too? Unfortunately, most of us can’t afford to take 3 months off to get away from our responsibilities, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still find ways to destress and relax! If you’re looking for a respite from the demands of everyday living,

The Gateway has the perfect event for you: Sunset Yoga. This event is hosted every Wednesday, starting at 8:00pm at The Olympic Plaza. Anyone is welcome to join, as long as they register beforehand, which means you can bring the whole family (as long as they’re able to sit on a yoga mat for an hour). The class is held outdoors so you can watch the beautiful Utah sunset, and enjoy the weather as the temperature cools in the evening. The full hour is led by a professional yoga instructor so you don’t have to be a yoga master to enjoy the class; all levels are welcome. This free event is happening every Wednesday until August 24th, so grab your mat and some friends and make this part of your summer routine!

If only doing yoga once a week isn’t enough for you though, you can step it up a notch by attending Goga. Goga is also a weekly class held at The Olympic Plaza, every Tuesday from 7:00-8:00pm, but this class also includes baby goats! The first 40 minutes of the class will be instructor-led yoga poses, while the goats hop around and nibble on you, and then the last 20 minutes are set aside for you to play or pose with the goats and take pictures. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this class, but all skill levels are welcome to sign up.
