It’s not always easy to make time for yourself to relax and rejuvenate; between work, home life, hobbies, and relationships it can be hard to find any free time. Even things like lunch breaks and meal times can feel rushed and hectic with the pressure of looming tasks and deadlines. If you’re someone who relates to that feeling, don’t stress! You’re not alone, and luckily, there may be a way for you to maximize your relaxation time if you live near the Gateway and get a lunch break. The Gateway itself can be a great experience, with the restaurants and shops, but it’s an especially cool experience on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday from noon to 2, for the rest of the summer, the Gateway will be hosting Sound Bites. These two-hour events are a way for local musicians to play “bite-sized” mini-concerts for shoppers and lunch-goers on Restaurant Row.

This free event is a great way to support local artists, be involved in the community, and carve some time and space out for yourself to relax and recharge. You’ll get to sample all kinds of music genres and tastes while enjoying everything the Gateway has to offer. Speaking of which, many of the local restaurants are offering discounts and lunch specials during the Sound Bites’ time. Get discounts on food from places like Costa Vida and Bout Time Pub & Grill, and half off games at the local Dave and Busters!
So what are you waiting for? You deserve this. Bring the whole family, or just yourself if you’re craving you-time, and swing on down to the South end of the Center in Restaurant Row to hear original music, eat delicious (and discounted!) food, and to treat yourself to some well-deserved fun and relaxation.
