March is over and clear blue skies are ahead! It might still be chilly, but winter is on its way out, which is something I think we’re all excited for. So whether you celebrate Easter or are just excited for spring, there are plenty of ways to get involved and excited in your community this week!
Starting in South Jordan on the 8th, we have the Spring Spectacular! This event is for kids ages 1-12 and will have baby animals, live music, a plant raffle, and a candy scramble. Kids will be divided up into their respective age groups for the scramble, so everyone has a fair chance. There will also be an adaptive area for children with special needs or accommodations. More info can be found at sjc.utah.gov/198/Spring-Spectacular.
Next up is the Easter Extravaganza in Orem! This event is activity focused and will have photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, a sidewalk chalk contests, games, and so much more. There won’t be an easter egg hunt or candy scramble at this event, so if you want to celebrate without giving your kids a sugar rush, then this event could be perfect for you. More information can be found at universityplaceorem.com/events/easter-extravaganza-5/.
Finally, on Easter Sunday, Solitude is hosting an egg hunt! There will be three different locations for different age groups, plus a guest appearance from the Easter Bunny. If you’re really feeling adventurous, there will also be a limited number of jumbo eggs, Solitude swag, and other goodies hidden on the mountain. If you want to participate in the mountain hunt then you’ll need a lift ticket or pass. More information can be found at solitudemountain.com/things-to-do/events-and-activities/easter-egg-hunt.
So no matter what you celebrate, or what activities your kids like, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this Easter. We hope to see you and your family on the mountain, at the Extravaganza, and in the Spectacular!
