The sun is shining, school is almost over, and it’s the perfect time to make plans for the summer. But what if you have no idea what to do with your time and great weather? Have no fear, I’ve rounded up some of the best (and free) events in Utah that will help you discover a new hobby that will keep you entertained until fall.
First up we have a hands-on lesson in gardening. Did you try to become a plant person during the pandemic but accidentally kill your plants? Or maybe you’ve kept some alive, but you want to expand your garden? Then this immersive learning event on planting is perfect for you. The class is on Thursday, May 4th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Conservation Garden Park. The staff will take you outside to get your hands dirty and learn how to set up new trees, shrubs, perennials, and more for success. Register for the class here: https://rb.gy/ewsv2
If you’re more interested in a less physically demanding hobby, then the Drop-in Drawing Disco is the event for you! UMFA is hosting this event on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6 to 8pm. All skill levels are welcome. Materials, instructors, and fun music will all be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself, and a desire to improve your art skills! Finally, our last event is exclusive for women. WeGolf hosts a golfing clinic every first Wednesday of the month from February to August. This is an amazing opportunity to meet business-women from around the state and network. Food, drinks, and instruction from golf professionalsb is included. This is a great way to expand your address book and learn a new skill at the same time. Register for the clinic here: https://rb.gy/838sm
