By Heather Madsen,
Concerts and music festivals are a staple on most people’s summer bucket lists, but being able to afford tickets, travel, and lodging can get expensive quickly. If you’ve been dying to experience a music festival but haven’t been able to swing it, then you’re officially in luck! The Deer Valley Music Festival is coming back for its 19th annual show, and will take place at different venues around Park City.
This year’s line-up features a little bit of everything. If you’re into spontaneous creativity, then the Art Pianos For All: Pop-Up Concert will blow you away. This event is the kick-off for the festival and starts on June 30th at 5pm. It’s also free and open to everyone! Come listen to The Jupiter Trio and other local pianists improvise music at the Summit County Library in Kamas. If you’re more into classical music then you’ll have your choice of Mozart, Schubert, Bizet, and more. These pieces will be performed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church over the course of July.
If you’re looking for the classic festival experience though, I recommend buying tickets for the main stage at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Artists who will be up on that stage over the next few weeks include Leann Rimes, Capathia Jenkins, The Beach Boys, Ben Folds, and more! There will also be a Queen tribute band, a Disney Princess concert, the music of John Williams, a Broadway and Soul concert, and many other wonderful performances. There will also be several food and drink vendors at the main stage venue, including beer and wine options.
If all of that didn’t already convince you to bring all of your friends and family to the festival, you can also get a discount on group tickets, priority seating, and waived service fees when you bring a party of 10 or more people. So what are you waiting for? Get those tickets and make this summer one to remember.
