By Heather Madsen,
We’re nearing the end of October, so next weekend is your last chance to squeeze in the rest of your Halloween activities until next year! So if you’re looking for an opportunity to show off your costume, eat lots of candy, or just have fun, here is a list of fun and spooky events happening all around Utah.
Get down with monsters of the night (and their terrifying tunes) at the Get Freaky Festival. This event is a three-day music festival held at the Great Saltair from October 27th to 29th. This year’s freaky lineup includes Alison Wonderland, Kill the Noise, Johnny Law, Vampa, and so many other amazing artists. Get dressed up and party all weekend with musical monsters! More information can be found at v2presents.com/events/get-freaky-festival-2023/.
If you’re looking for a more child-friendly event, then you’re invited to Fright Night at the North Shore Aquatic Center Parking Lot. It will be a trunk-or-treat event with food trucks, face painting, and of course lots of candy. Dress up as a family and enjoy this free event with your friends and children. More information can be found at northogdencity.com/parksrec/page/fright-night.
Are you looking for an event that’s more witchy and mystical than scary? You won’t want to miss the Dust till Dawn Halloween Weekend at Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. This event is western-gothic themed and will have everything from live music and campfire ghost stories to witchcraft workshops and harvest celebrations. Connect with other people, enjoy the atmosphere, and even explore the scenic landmarks around the ranch. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season, and maybe even get on your last camping trip of the year. More information can be found at bouldermountainguestranch.com/events/halloween-party.
These three events are only a few of the incredible parties and get-togethers that businesses and communities have put together to celebrate this time of year. So whether you attend one of these or another event that your city or neighbors are hosting, we hope to see you out there!
